Current Projects

Wind Energy America is engaged in the development of wind energy farms in several areas of the U.S.

Wind Energy America projects are located primarily in western U.S. states and there are additional opportunistic projects that we are pursuing in other markets.

The Wind Energy America NAE Shaokatan Power Partners LLC Wind Farm: Located on Buffalo Ridge in southwest Minnesota, this wind farm situated behind our Midwest Center for Wind Energy utilizes 2 Gamesa G-52 wind turbines providing 1.6 Megawatts of electric capacity.  It is expected to produce an average of approximately 4,000,000 kilowatt-hours annually, or enough power to supply about 400 homes.

Wind Energy America

At Wind Energy America we develop and promote high quality, clean, renewable energy sources, in an effort to better our shared environment. We leverage our technical, management and financial expertise in developing and building wind-powered electricity generation facilities, harnessing a power abundantly found in nature, and channeling it into local electrical grids. The clean energy that will be created by these wind farms will be used by municipalities and utilities to provide clean energy to homes and businesses.

The Wind Energy America value-added strategy is to utilize the substantial energy industry experience of our management team, create value by developing our pipeline of targeted project sites, take advantage of our combined experience and networks we have developed in the construction and operation of wind farms, enter into value-added strategic relationships with landowners, wind-turbine manufacturers, power customers, state and local governments and other power generators, and move swiftly to maximize value in the fast growing renewable energy market in North America today.

Wind Energy America creates projects which mutually benefit everyone involved, while contributing to our nation’s efforts towards reducing global warming and energy security. Our wind farms are typically located in rural communities where they retain the jobs, as well as land lease revenue for farmers and ranchers. Our wind turbines are compatible with rural land uses—crops can be grown and livestock can be grazed up to the base of the turbine. Our wind farms also provide an increased local tax base for these communities.

Clean, Simple & Sound

As a producer of renewable energy, our approach is "Clean, Simple & Sound" Clean: Low-impact development of renewable energy resources. Simple: Featuring a growing and diverse portfolio of wind energy assets. Sound: Meeting both the interest of investors and the needs of the environment.
