Wind Energy America announces Pennsylvania wind energy project. The Company confirmed today confirmed it has entered into long term wind development rights agreements covering an aggregate of 650 acres located in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. Grosser Mountain Wind I, LLC is the WEA's first Pennsylvania wind energy project and is located northeast of Harrisburg. Wind Energy America announces the commercial operation of the first of two Gamesa G-52 0.8-megawatt (MW) wind turbines after completion of commissioning. The turbine is part of their wholly owned NAE Shaokatan Power Partners LLC (“NSPP”), located on Buffalo Ridge adjacent to WEA’s Midwest Center for Wind Energy in Hendricks, Minnesota.
